Knot Ready helps couples plan a wedding, manage guests, budgets, RSVP details, seating, notes, and collaboration.

We collect only the information needed to provide planning features, sync data, secure accounts, and operate the app.

2. Information We Collect

Account data may include email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and app settings.

Wedding data may include wedding date, budget items, vendor notes, guest names, plus-one status, meal choices, dietary restrictions, hotel needs, registry links, and planning notes entered by users.

Technical data may include device tokens for notifications, app diagnostics, and security logs.

3. How We Use Data

We use data to provide wedding planning features, synchronize data across devices, support partner collaboration, send reminders, and protect accounts.

We do not sell personal information and do not use wedding guest data for third-party advertising.

4. Service Providers

The app uses Google Firebase services for authentication, database storage, cloud messaging, and related infrastructure.

Service providers process data only to operate the app and are not permitted to use it for independent marketing.

5. California Privacy Rights

California residents may request access, correction, deletion, and portability of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA.

You may also request information about categories of data collected and disclosed. Knot Ready does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Guest Data & Allergens

Couples are responsible for informing wedding guests when they enter their information into the app.

Dietary restrictions and allergy information are collected strictly and solely for the purpose of preparing an appropriate meal and ensuring event safety. This data is never shared, sold, or made accessible to any third-party advertisers or unauthorized personnel.

Please note that privacy regulations vary across all 50 U.S. states. While specific state laws (such as in California, Virginia, Colorado, or Texas) may have distinct requirements regarding sensitive personal data, Knot Ready applies a uniform, strict confidentiality standard nationwide: your allergen data is used exclusively for your wedding dinner service and is not processed for profiling or marketing.

7. Data Deletion

Users may request account and wedding data deletion. Data will be deleted or de-identified unless retention is required for security, legal, or backup operations.

Guests may ask the couple who entered their information to remove or correct guest details.

8. Children

Knot Ready is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

Data is protected in transit using TLS and by Firebase security rules and authentication controls.

No system is perfectly secure, so users should avoid storing highly sensitive information in free-text notes.
